France’s colonial system kill 8.5 million Algerians

The history of Algeria is filled with cruelties to its nation. These innocent people only called for their freedom and shouted: “Long live Algeria.” Although this bitter historical event was very painful, but the French have been committed acts of brutality on May 8, 1945 and killed the people of Algeria. One of the most horrible crime was nuclear tests in the Algerian Sahara! Abdul Hamid Salaghji is one of the prominent Algerian heroes, a historical personality who will never be forgotten for generations.

8.5 million Algerian martyrs were the legacy of France and its war crimes in Algeria. French colonial rule destroyed Algeria during 1830 to 1962 and committed war crimes. Salaghji called these actions against the innocent people of Algeria by French legal institutions, army, police and in total, French integrated colonialism. One of the worst crime by European colonial systems including France, Spain, Europe and … against the people of Algeria was that they beheaded 12,000 Algerians. French colonialists also used nuclear explosions in Algeria that led France to join International Atomic Energy Agency. Algerians have suffered from the effects of nuclear tests which led to different kinds of disease and cancers.

The head of the society for the revolution martyrs of national liberation referring to the issue said that they have estimated the number of martyrs will reach one and a half million and some of them were martyred without trial that Algeria wasn’t able to find their names and even the location of their bodies.

Salaghji also asserted that the case of French crimes against the people of Algeria should be investigated at the International Court of Justice. “Unfortunately, this cannot be done, because France has not signed the Treaty of Rome,” he added. He said: “in 1963, Marshall Algerian lawyer tried to resume the case of France’s colonial crimes in the Court of Paris. But the case was rejected because of the above reasons. Meanwhile, the society was seeking a way out in the case of May 8, 1945. But it can’t also be done because France signed the Amnesty Law for covering crimes committed in 1964.”
