The versions of the Holy Quran are scheduled to be registered as a collection on Iran’s National Intangible Cultural Heritage List during the opening ceremony of the exhibition, the Persian service of IRNA reported on Tuesday.
“The exhibit will open in on August 8, which coincides with national Journalists’ Day, or on August 15, the birthday anniversary of Imam Hassan (AS),” Golestan Palace Director Masud Sharifi said.
“The treasury of the palace contains numerous unique collections of manuscripts that every one can be a subject for organizing a show,” he added.
A collection of rare Quran manuscripts has also been put on show in a section of the 19th edition of the International Holy Quran Exhibition, which is currently underway at the Imam Khomeini Mosalla in Tehran.
The exhibit is held annually during the holy month of Ramadan, which is known as “the spring of the Quran” in the Islamic countries.
In addition, an exhibition of rare Quran manuscripts is currently underway at the Iran National Library and Archives.
