Palestinian worshipers holding vigil inside the Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem on Sunday foiled an attempt by a number of Jewish fanatics to storm the holy site.
Local sources in the city said that a number of settlers were trying to infiltrate into the Mosque along with a group of foreign tourists.
However, the sources said that the worshipers spotted them and aborted their attempt, adding that worshipers were still holding vigil inside the holy site.
Sheikh Ra'ed Salah, the leader of the Islamic Movement in 1948 occupied Palestine, had repeatedly warned of the settlers' attempt to storm the holy site and that their attempts would not cease in a bid to judaize the holy site and divide it similar to what took place in the Ibrahimi Mosque in Al-Khalil.
