“Islam has no deadlock and this means that a man burdened with any amount of sin can repent in any moment and return to Allah”, said the Qur’an commentator.
In the lecture sessions of ‘Lessons from the Qur’an’ held in the Razavi grand courtyard, Hujjat al-Islam Qaraati said, “Some people are in despair and say for example, this patient will not be healed or that girl might not find a spouse; this indicates a kind of disappointment and remissness.”
“Nothing in the world is vain but is completely right as God states that: We have created the heavens and the earth rightfully.”
“Even the tiniest thing you do will be calculated, but some may say that whatever we performed yielded nothing and wasted; this marks desperation in them”, Hujjat al-Islam Qaraati said.
“The world is like a perfume that vanishes after a while. If one puts his hand over the hand of Allah and does something for Him, then as long as Allah exists that work exists too”, he marked.
“Allah is so kind that He affirms and turns tenfold whatever one does for Him but counts a wrongdoing as being singular. So why should we lose hope while God is so merciful?” Hujjat al-Islam Qaraati reminded the audience.
“The reason why our prayers are not pleasant to us any more is that we have forgotten that there is someone that monitors us”, he continued.
Referring to sweetness of repentance, Hujjat al-Islam Qaraati said, “Allah accepts His slave’s repentance in any condition even the greatest sins but the greatest sin is to lose hope of the grace of Allah.”
