Mourning of Imam Hussein (a) and the reward of “full measure’’

In the early days of Muharam, we also ask our exalted prince - dear Imam Hussein (a) - “so give us the full measure and be generous to us; undoubtedly Allah rewards the generous”.

The “full measure” is nothing but the words of Imam Sadeq (a) in the presence of Bakr Ebn vaels’ chieftain, Masma Kordin. Masma kordin received to visit Imam Sadeq to ask about the Khoms (a religious law) of a pearl jewelry he found in Oman through pear fishing. Imam Asked him “thou, do you go on pilgrimage to Imam Hussein in Karbala? “

He answered: “No, I am famous. In cases I travel to Karbala from Basra, intelligence officers give an account of my presence.

Imam Sadeq (a) excused him and added, “Do you call to mind Imam Hussein (a) sincerely, then?”

Masma replied” surely I do, when I am reminded of Imam Hussein, I refuse to eat and drink so it becomes a visible in my face and my family becomes aware of it”.

Imam (a) stated, I offer thee praise for your sorrow in our sadness and rejoice in our happiness. Besides, I give thee glad tidings of my ancestor’s presence at the time you die. They recommend you to Azrael (the death angle) to behave you kinder than a mother”.

يَا أَيَّتُهَا النَّفْسُ الْمُطْمَئِنَّةُ * ارْجِعِي إِلَىٰ رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةً مَرْضِيَّةً  *  فَادْخُلِي فِي عِبَادِي * وَادْخُلِي جَنَّتِي *

Return to your Lord* well pleased and well pleasing Him. Enter then among my worshipers* Enter then My paradise.

In Safi Commentary on Holy Quran, There is an interesting Hadith on the presence of the Innocents (a) when men are at the doors of the death (at the point of death).  I take the opportunity to ask God “full measure” for all friends. I, then, would like to express my gratitude to all Shiites who mourn their innocent Imam, the lord of martyrs, the son of Ali and the grandson of Mohammad, the prophet. Surely, Allah will rewards them on the measure of “فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ (their wage awaits them with their Lord)” (Baqareh, 2, 62).
