A forbidden act is the killer of hearts
The Holy Prophet of Islam (pbuh) said to the Commander of the Faithful Imam Ali (as) said: consumption, eating and the unlawful action bring about five dangers. There is no usury or unlawful act which can be separated from these five dangers, no separation can happen between these two, the unlawful act is innately producing these five dangers.
The first danger that the Prophet (pbuh) mentions is the death of heart.
This is the interpretation: the heart dies, this death of heart is the death of the divine and human states of heart.
Unlawful actions and stuffs are like a poisonous arrow which kills the heart. Usury is the murderer of heart that has also otherworldly loss as well.
