professor Ansarian: reciting the Holy Quran should not be for the purpose being rewarded

If the recitation of the Holy Quran by human is just for the purpose of being rewarded; this can be the least benefit one can acquire from the wealth of the Holy Quran. The reward of reciting the Holy Quran in comparison with understanding and acting upon what the Holy Quran says is so insignificant. Therefore, reciting the holy Quran along with pondering and reflecting upon its verses is extremely recommended by Allah Almighy.

(This is) a Scripture that We have revealed unto thee, full of blessing, that they may ponder its revelations, and that men of understanding may reflect. Verse 29 of Surah Saad.

It is essential to note that understanding the deep and complete concepts of the Quran requires Divine knowledge which based on narrations and verses,  the Holy Prophet and the infallible Imams peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon them have possessed this deep understanding and knowledge of the Holy Quran.
