Some perfect human beings reach a position that the lord of the universe himself takes their souls and lives and let no other angels to do so. This fact was well illustrated in the event of Karbala. On the day of Ashura, Allah Almighty did not let Azrael, who is responsible for taking human,s soul, to take the soul of the Master of the Martyrs, Imam Hussein peace be upon him; but Allah himself took his soul as well as the soul of his companions. This shows the exalted and high position of Imam Hussein and his companions.
