When Imam Hussein peace be upon him was leaving Mecca, someone came to him and politely said to him: this journey is a journey of blood and death, I do not suppose your Caravan will make it to the destination. Imam Hussein said in response: "My desire for death is more than the desire of the Prophet Yaqub (AS) to his son, the Prophet Joseph (AS). I am not afraid of death, because death is like a bridge for me through which I can meet my father and ancestors, the divine prophets and the angels of the lord of the universe.”
