Professor Ansarian said: the infallible Imams (PBUT) and the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HP) hated the otiose and work-shy people. The holy prophet (PBUH&HP) forbade indolence and sponging off others. One day the holy prophet (PBUH&HP) was sitting in the mosque with his companions when someone entered the mosque and said: help me! The holy prophet (PBUH&HP) said to the companions present in the mosque that do not give him even a Gheran (the smallest unit of money), he has no physical disability and he can work, you should help the disabled, the needy, the destitute and the bankrupted people. The holy prophet (PBUH&HP) said: I don’t help and neither do they! The second day he came into the mosque and he heard the same thing and the third day he came and he was told the same things, finally he prepared a shovel, a pick and some ropes with a basket, he used to go to the plains of Medina during the day and collected the firewood of dried trees and used to sell them in Medina in front of the mosque, after a while he was financially well, the holy prophet (PBUH&HP) said: sponging off others and being indolent is forbidden in my religion.
