Prayer solves my problems

The writer of the book, due to the importance of the prayer doesn’t want to say a word from his side, and he thinks whatever we talk about the prayer, we should talk from the side Allah. All issues of prayer inside or outside contains about four thousand moot points, and till now hundreds of books are written by great scholars including Philosopher, mystics and pious people.

In this chapter I’m going to explain the benefits of prayer very firefly.

We read in Quran that

وَاسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلَاةِ ۚ وَإِنَّهَا لَكَبِيرَةٌ إِلَّا عَلَى الْخَاشِعِينَ [1]

And seek assistance through patience and prayer, and most surely it is a hard thing except for the humble ones. In the name of allah of allah, who is the most merciful and will be the best in the world, and will come to meet.

Indeed God has talked about the importance and the greatness of the prayers, and the Islamic nation has proved it. Patience and fortitude are the reasons of Muslim’s victories and the prayer is the key to solution of problems.

Prayer solves my problems:

The great scientist Shaikh Al-Raeis Abu Ali Seena says:

Whenever I used to face any kind of scientific problem and I couldn’t solve it, then I used to go the main Mosque of the city and used to offer two Rakats of prayer. After praying I used to ask God because of light of the prayer if he helps me. And after prayer when I used to come out of mosque my problem used to be solved.[2]  

Prayer surprised the world:

Once the Qom city faced drought, all its gardens and agriculture forms were getting dried, people were facing the lack of water, and government of that time couldn’t do anything. There was only one way through which people could get themselves out that condition that was prayer of rain. (Pray for getting rain)    

Almost nobody was could thing that they can get the rain by praying and asking God to send the rain. Because it needed pure soul, full concentrate and needed praying from bottom of heart. The great person, who stepped to such an act, was the great leader and scholar of that time Late Ayatullah Al-Uzma Haaj Syed Muhmmad Taqi Khunsari.

I saw that great leader and scholar in house of my grandfather, when I was thirty years old. He put his hand on my head and prayed for me that I’ll become a good scholar for Islam and people; whatever I do have is all due to his prayers. He also participated in imposed war of Iraq on Iran.

Once the great scholar Ayatullah Al-Uzma Syed Muhammad Taqi  Khunsari with his eyes of tears and big crowd of people moved to the Area of Khak –e- Faraj (one of the neighbor of Holy city of Qom) for offering prayers of rain. It was in period of world war two and the alliance had their some soldiers in that area, when they heard big crowd of people is coming towards them, they made themselves ready to oppose them, but when they came to know that the crowd is coming for offering rain prayer not for fighting with them, they got surprised and couldn’t even imagine that the prayer can bring rain for them.

Prayer and the supplication of that great scholar worked and brought the rain like a storm, this news spread in the world in headlines. This story is written on the grave stone of that great scholar who is buried in Haram of Holy shrine of Hazrat Masoomeh (s.a).

O you, who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient. [3]

Recite, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you of the Book and establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater. And Allah knows that which you do.[4] 

Definitely there is different between those who offer prayers and who ignore prayers. Someone who offers prayer, due to prayer times he has to clean and sheer (Pak) apparently and then during prayer he’ll clean his soul and sprit which helps us to move towards to Allah.

Someone who offers prayer due to prayer he has to keep his body and clothes clean, and due to other order and condition of prayer he has to be away from many bad and unlawful acts. Prayer will keep him away from fooling others, stealing things, cheating in business, violence, and many other acts which Islam has forbidden and has ordered us to be away from them.

Prayer is the pillar of religion and pillars of Islam. If prayer would be offered correct, it will keep us away from all evil acts. There is a point which shouldn’t be forgotten that is that all worship acts of Islam are for controlling yourself, your wishes, your pride, and orders you to get respect for all human being, get generosity, get kindness and take care of other’s rights. 

Imam Ali (a.s) in his oration named “Qase’e” which means insults of proud; Imam tells about the harms of pride and other evil acts, and then he talks about Hajj, Prayer, fasting, Zakat and Alms says how these good acts break bride.  

Less people think about the verses and order of Zakat which comes mostly after the order of Prayers, brings humility for us. After concentrating we come to know that giving zakat and paying alms to poor people, makes poor close to rich and it reduce the levels between rich and poor and demolish all spaces between poor’s and riches. Now imagine that in prayer all poor and rich stand all together and bend their bodies in front of Allah and put their heads on earth, this act mean fight with selfishness and pride, it’s the complete religion.

Selfishness is the source of all evil acts. If you like to treat your soul diseases first cut off its sources, like a promotion of soul and spirituality is on the base of controlling oneself, society, selfishness. Roots and source of all calamity and evil acts is selfishness and pride.

The real man of pray is someone who loves God from bottom of heart and God also loves him. Does love of God and love of material things which is the roots of all evil acts come into one box?

The person who offer prayers twice he calls God the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful (الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ) once in بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ  and once in Sura Al-Fatiha. If he has got concentrate to his prayer it means he is focusing on the meaning of Merci, and it will effect on him and it will make him the kind and merciful person.

The man knows that God has talked to his all prophets and has said to all of them that whatever you eat, eat lawful (Halal) and then stand for prayers.[5]     

The man knows the prophet (peace be upon him) stated:

 There is an angel in area of Jerusalem who is always saying at nights: whoever eats unlawful (things which are not their rights to eat) Allah will not accept their any compulsory (Wajib) act and any recommended (Mustahab) act.[6]

And he knows that the prophet has said:

 If a person bought a dress by ten dirham, and if a dirham from the ten dirham would be unlawful (Haram), God will not accept his prayers in that dress.[7]  

The man knows that once Hazrat Daood (David) (A.S) had said to God: O’ God the Entirely Merciful, who is close to you and whose prayer do you accept?  The answer came: who shows his humility due to my glory, who spends his whole day in my remembrance, gets away from lust and unlawful things due to me, gives food to hungry person, gives shelter to strangers, take cares of poor people, such a person bright among all others, and I do accept his prayers and supplications. I’ll give him whatever he asks me, I’ll forgive him his impatience, I’ll guide him in his confusion, I’ll take him out from the darkness, among people he is like Ferdous Paradise, unchangeable, always fruitful.[8]    

The man surly knows that imam Sadiq (A.S) stated: someone who likes to know his prayers are accepted or not, he should see, does his prayers stops him from bad and evil acts or not? How much extent prayer stops him from bad and evil acts, that much extent his prayers are accepted.[9]

A society which offers prayer is the clean and good society, a country which has got the people of prayer is clean and good country. If all people of a country became men of prayer, the country will be clean from, burglary, pessimism, and all bad and evil acts. A country which has got religious and prayer people, that country will have less people and no crowd in their courts and judiciary offices. That land will be away from all these divorces, bad behavior with families, and uncovering veil. The country with men of prayer doesn’t need to keep armed forces to maintain the security, and there are no any talks of prison. And that country’s people and their properties and their land is secure and guaranteed by prayer, because prayer is the sponsor and surety for this and next world.

Prayer is light and shine of life, prayer is calmness for hearts, gives happiness to righteous people, is way for lover to get close to God and is hopes for hopefuls.
