The Principles of the Prophets’ Invitation to the Faith

God’s Prophets invited people to the true beliefs, right manners and good deeds. They possessed authentic books in their indoctrinations. The calamities and disasters man has endured so far have been due to his distance from the righteous religious leaders. Inflicting cruelty and injustice over others occur because man is unaware of the instructions and teachings of the Prophets.

The aggression of the aggressors, the false pride of the haughty ones, the extravagance of the extravagant people, the waste of the wasters, the tyranny of the tyrants, the silence of the oppressed ones, the ignorance of the ignorant, the transgression of the trespasser are all due to man’s distance from the Prophets, Imams and the Innocent ones (a.s).

The Holy Qur’an stipulates the following principles for the Prophets’ invitation of people towards their faith: These honorable ones invited people:

To recognize God;

1.      To worship only God;

2.      To listen to the leaders’ advice;

3.      To avoid committing sins;

4.      To pay attention to the Doom’s Day;

5.      To follow the righteous path;

6.      To benefit from God’s assets, and to spend them;

7.      To follow the right way sincerely;

8.      To be equipped with repentance;

9.      To avoid worshipping any idol;

10.  To pay heed to God’s names and epithets;

11.  To avoid communicating with God’s foes;

12.  To show persistence in one’s convictions;

13.  To try to get involved in the right things;

14.  To follow the honest ways;

15.  To recognize God’s enemies so as to avoid them;

16.  To have a sturdy heart;

17.  To be sober in the face of hardships;

18.  To do good to others;

19.  To associate with God’s friends;

20.  To avoid satanic lusts, whims and wishes;

21.  To learn a lesson from the life of the criminals;

22.  To avoid ethical mischief;

23.  To pay attention to the education of one’s family;

24.  To be honest in keeping scales;

25.  To avoid being corrupted in the society;

26.  To rectify one and others;

27.  To enjoin not to commit what is unlawful and to recommend others to do good;

28.  To fight with aggressors and to engage in Holy war;

29.  To spread knowledge;

30.  To take care of the needy;

31.  To use God’s assets wisely;

32.  To judge honestly;

33.  To rule justly;

34.  To cultivate the land;

35.  To consider unity;

36.  To protect the orphan’s possessions;

37.  To keep one’s words;

38.  To keep up prayers;

39.  To do good to the parents;

40.  To delve into the issues of existence;

41.  To contemplate on the heavenly topics;

42.  To take part in candid prayer to God;

43.  To subdue one’s anger;

44.  To pardon others;

45.  To be afraid of the chastisement at the Doom’s Day;

46.  To be trustworthy;

47.  To be moderate in life affairs;

48.  To be humble; and

49.  To acquire knowledge.

Man’s wisdom and common sense compels him to follow these perfect men, the Prophets, who had nothing in view except helping people. Their instructions expand our wisdom, knowledge, and hearts and will improve our Here and Hereafter. Ignoring these supreme men of virtues, will lead to one’s destruction and involvement in corruption.
