Devotion and Actions in Islamic Topics

Crimes include the offenses carried out bodily, financially, and socially and those actions that are not in harmony with God and His apostle. And a criminal or wrong -doer is the one who engages in criminal activities and who has adopted shaitan for God, the world Here for the Hereafter and his own sensual satisfaction for God’s consent. According to the Holy Qur’an, such a person is subject to severe chastisement unless he repents. The Holy Qur’an has not made any body an exception to this ruling. A criminal is a criminal, whether he is a Prophet’s usual follower or a special companion or not. Being a Prophet’s special companion will not provide one with any specific perogative. A pious man is pious and is salvaged, whether he is a Prophet’s special or usual follower. The criterion for salvage or chastisement is piety and crime respectively.

“The day on which We will gather those who guard against evil to the Beneficient God to receive honors, and We will drive the guilty to hell thirsty.”

“What! Shall We then make those who submit as the guilty?”

Thus, in accordance with the sacred verses of the Holy Qur’an, the guilty deserves chastisement and is repelled by Allah. It will not make any different who may be the guilty individual. The following verses elaborate this in more details.

“Allah sets forth an example to those who disbelieve: the wife of Nuh and the wife of Lut: they were both under two of Our righteous servants, but they acted treacherously towards them so they availed them naught against Allah, and it was said: Enter both the fire with those who enter.”

What would those, who believe that being the Prophet’s special companion will suffice, say regarding the following verse?

“O wives of the Prophet! Whoever of you commits an open indecency, the punishment shall be increased to her doubly; and this is easy to Allah.”

By using the expression “This is easy to Allah” it means that the Almighty God is steady in punishing the guilty ones. It would not make any difference for God whether the guilty one is the Prophet’s friend, or Nuh’s wife or Lut’s spouse, or the Prophet’s spouse, or the Prophet’s uncle.

The verses eleven through twenty of the sacred Surah Ahzab (The Allies 33:11-20) state something peculiar about the Prophet’s companions and how unsteady and shaky they had been despite the fact that they had been familiar with the Prophet's ideology. More peculiar and strange then this was the opinion of a group of Moslems who assumed that if an individual was the Prophet's close companion he would be free from committing crimes and he would therefore be exempted from punishment. Now do we have to accept these explicitly-stated holy verses of the Holy Quran or the the statement of a group of religious leaders who hd been trained in the schools of the caliphs?

Now prior to the introduction of these verses, let us see what "Tafser Nemuneh" has to say as a preface to these verses:

The war of Allies was in full swing. Every body was put to a testing trial. It is natural that under such conditions people would divide. And this exactly was the case for the Moslems:

A group of them were the genuine believers; another group consisted of the elite believers; another group consisted of those whose conviction was shaky; some were hypocrites; some were stubborn hypocrites; some were after possessions and wealth; some were inclined to take their flight; some tried to dissuade people from taking part in the Holy War; and others tried to tighten their relationship with the hypocrites.
