It is narrated from Imam Sajjad (AS) who said: If the following three characteristics are present in a believer, he/she will be protected by Allah (SWT) and on the Day of Judgment will be covered by Divine Mercy, and will be saved from hardships of the Day of gathering. Do not wish for others, what you do not wish for yourself; do not take a step forward until you know the move is for the sake of Allah (SWT) or disobeying God; do not reproach the Muslim brother for the same fault which exists in yourself until you remove that fault from yourself [1]. In another narration, Imam Sajjad (AS) warned: Whoever looks for the faults of others, and talks about the faults of others, and reproaches others for their faults, others will accuse him/her of what is absent in himself/herself [2].
