Then I am the remainder [last remnant] from Adam, and the (holy) treasure from Nuh, and the chosen from Ibrahim and the most sincere friend from
Khutba of Imam A.S. on Arrival
Imam al-Baqir said, ‘ and the Qaim on that day will be in Makkah, he will leaning against the wall of the ka’bah (bayt al-haraam) whilst making his call for help, he will hail, “o you people, we seek victory from Allah and from whoever yields to us from the people, and we are from the ahl bayt of your Prophet Muhammad (saw), and we are the closest (most suited) to Allah and Muhammad (pbuh). So whoever disputes with me as regards to Adam, then I am the nearest to Adam. And whoever argues/disputes with me about Nuh, then I am the nearest of people to Nuh. And whoever disputes with me about Ibrahim then I am the nearest to of people to Ibrahim. And whoever disputes me about Muhammad then I am the nearest of people to Muhammad. And whoever disputes me about the Prophets then I am the closest of people to the Prophets, has not Allah stated in His decisive book [Quran]: ‘Verily Allah chose Adam and Nuh and the descendents of Ibrahim and the descendents of Imran above (all His) creatures, offspring, one form the other; and Allah is hearing, Knowing.’
(a) Then I am the remainder [last remnant] from Adam, and the (holy) treasure from Nuh, and the chosen from Ibrahim and the most sincere friend from Muhammad (saw) may Allah’s mercy be upon them all.
(b) I swear/vow/take oath that he who disputes with me about the Book of Allah, then I am the closest of people to the book of Allah. I swear that whoever disputes me about the practise of Prophet (pbuh), then I am the closest to the practice of the Prophet (pbuh).
(c) I seek/implore from Allah the one who will listen to my words on this day, when he will bring from among you the hidden witness. And I ask you for the sake of Allah, and for the sake of his messenger and for my sake indeed to me upon you is the right of the near relatives from the Prophet (pbuh), except that you have brought us hardship and have deprived us from those who have oppressed us. We have been frightened, oppressed, forced away from our houses and our offspring; we have been wronged and deprived of our rights. The people of falsehood have slandered against us. By Allah, the Al-Mighty is in/with us, do not abandon us but help us and Allah will make you victorious.’
