The motives behind people's arrogance and egoism have been explained in Imam al-Sadiq's words (PBUH). The above-mentioned Hadith which has been mentioned in the book al-Kafi is hereby published by Hawzah News Agency:
عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ مَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ تَكَبَّرَ أَوْ تَجَبَّرَ إِلَّا لِذِلَّةٍ وَجَدَهَا فِي نَفْسِهِ.
Imam al-Sadiq (PBUH) said, "No one practices an attitude of arrogance and egoism unless they are suffering from some form of inner humility or inferiority in their character,"
