-- Isna Ashari Shia Muslims in Tanzania mourned the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Sajjad (AS) Sunday night.
According to IQNA’s Tanzania branch, Iranian cultural attaché Mostafa Ranjbar Shirazi and a number of Iranians residing in Tanzania also attended the mourning ceremony in the capital Dares Salam.
Sheikh Safdar Razi, a Shia scholar, gave a speech in English and Urdu on the lofty character of Imam Sajjad (AS) and the calamities of Karbala.
Later in the program eulogists performed Rozekhani in Gojarati and Urdu languages.
Mourning ceremonies were also held in Isna Ashari mosques in other provinces including Arusha, Dodoma, Morogoro and Tanga.
Also on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Sajjad (AS) the movie “Ruze Vaghe’e” (the Day of the Event) was screened at Iran Cultural Center for Iranians residing in Tanzania.
