-- The ‘Rahe Islam’ radio in Chechnya began broadcasting its religious programs yesterday, radioportal reported.
It is aimed at spreading Islamic teachings among the youth and answering religious questions of the republic’s Muslims.
People in 70 percent of Chechnya’s cities and villages can tune in to listen to the radio’s programs. Those in the rest of the republic’s regions will also be able to benefit from the programs in a few month.
Programs of the ‘Rahe Islam’ radio include Quran recitations, religious forums, sermons, and speeches on Islamic tenets and the holy Prophet’s (PBUH) life.
Chechnya is a Muslim majority republic located in the Northern Caucasus mountains, in the southern federal district of Russia.
