-- The 8th congress of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s cultural attachés will kick off tomorrow, February 28, in Tehran.
70 attachés and cultural representatives of Iran in other countries will be present at the gathering. The opening ceremony will be officiated by the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyed Mohammad Hosseini.
On the first day of the gathering, the participants will visit the mausoleum of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, to renew allegiance with his lofty aspirations and ideas.
On the following days practical approaches for coordinating cultural activities in the international arena will be discussed by the attendees.
They will also hold meetings with officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the Cultural Heritage Organization, Iranians’ Affairs Supreme Council, Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) Forum, Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, international department of the supreme leader’s office, and supreme leader’s representative in the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization.
The gathering will conclude on Monday, March 8, with a ceremony attended by Majlis speaker Ali Larijani.
