-- The basis of our country’s power is our Islamic culture which is abundant with spirituality, head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization told IQNA.
Referring to the theme of the 8th congress of Iranian cultural attachés, namely “spiritual power, cultural front”, Dr Mehdi Mostafavi said that this theme was selected for the congress since the main aspect of the country’s power is cultural power.
If we want to make this power operational, we need to establish a cultural front in which all the cultural institutions and organizations help to move forward a coordinated and purposeful cultural agenda, he added.
He regarded the congress of Iranian cultural attachés as an opportunity for coordinating the cultural activities and drafting a strategy for all the institutions active in the cultural arena.
Dr Mostafavi added that the congress was also an opportunity for identifying new areas for cultural work as well as the cultural needs in different countries.
He expressed hope that with the cooperation of the country’s cultural bodies, policies and strategies for cultural work in other countries can be outlined by the end of the gathering.
The 8th congress of Iranian cultural attachés is underway in Tehran until March 8.
