-- The 8th congress of Iran’s cultural attachés concluded in Tehran yesterday, March 8. The closing ceremony was held at Az-Zahra (SA) religious center of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization. It was officiated by the Majlis speaker Dr Ali Larijani.
70 of Iran’s cultural representatives in other countries took part in the weeklong congress whose main aim was to review and discuss the Islamic Republic of Iran’s five-year plan for cultural activities in foreign countries.
They also met with the country’s high ranking officials including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, sources of emulation, the president, minister and deputies of the Culture and Islamic Guidance Ministry, and secretary general of the Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
On the first day of the congress, the cultural attachés and the officials of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization visited Imam Khomeini’s mausoleum to renew allegiance with the aspirations of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
