-- The 5th annual meeting of Islamic Organizations in Germany will be held on May 17 with the presence of a number of government officials.
According to "Algeria" website, representatives of the Islamic Organizations in Germany, Tobias de Meziere, German Minister of Interior, as well as Anete Schavan, Minister of Education, will attend the meeting.
Some of the topics to be discussed in the gathering include: examining different dimensions of Islam as one of the official religions in Germany, teaching Islam’s basics to Muslim students, teaching and training Imams of the mosques, fighting against extremism, and gender equality in Islam.
The annual meeting was first organized by Wolfgang Schauble, former Minister of Interior and present Minister of Financial Affairs in Germany. It seeks to provide proper grounds for the Muslim minority in Germany to be actively present in various domains of the society.
