Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), After learning about Islam and observing her two friends embrace Islam recently, Shierylin Y Ibarreta, decided to follow in their footsteps by converting to Islam.
Shierylin chose her Muslim name as Nor Aliyah Syakirah bte Abdullah Willy. She was initially attracted to Islam after being exposed to the religion while working in Brunei.
The ceremony took place at Bait Al-Mawaddah, the residence of the Managing Director of Darussalam Holdings Sdn Bhd, Hj Mahmud bin Hj Mohamed, who also hosted the conversion ceremonies of Nor Aliyah Syakirah's two friends.
Although employed by a different company, the Managing Director of Darussalam Holdings Sdn Bhd, granted permission for the ceremony to take place at his residence. Present during the conversion ceremony was the wife of the state mufti, Datin Hjh Maznah binti Hj Mohammad.
