World’s Biggest Islamic Arts Museum to Be Inaugurated in Cairo

Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), Having been reconstructed with the cooperation of 14 countries, the world’s biggest museum of Islamic arts is soon to be inaugurated in Cairo, capital of Egypt.

According to Alyawm Al-Sabeh Newspaper, the reconstruction project was organized by Egypt’s Ministry of Culture at a cost of over 90 million Egyptian liras.

“The museum has 24 sections where ancient historical objects—belonging to different eras from Prophet Mohammad’s (PBUH) era at the dawn of Islam to 18th century AD—are kept,” said Saleh Abd-ol-Moez, a local official in Cairo.

It has been designed and built based on Islamic architecture. A number of religious and cultural figures from Egypt and other countries will be present at the opening ceremony.
