The Arab League’s Office for the Boycott of Israel is holding its 86th conference at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo for the first time in ten years. For over a decade, the “Boycott of Israel” conferences were held in Damascus semiannually. The conference, which began on Monday evening and is scheduled until Wednesday, will discuss matters pending in the application of boycotting Israel. A report on what was concluded during the session will be submitted to Arab foreign ministers for the next session slated for next week. “We want the boycott to remain our objective without sidetracking, and it requires commitment to what we have agreed upon, agreement that reflects genuine conviction making it enforceable,” said Mohammed Sabih, the assistance secretary-general of the Arab League tasked with handling Palestinian affairs.
