Brigadier General Esmail Ahmadi-Moqaddam said on Friday that working with such networks is tantamount to working with enemy security services and Iran's Intelligence Ministry will deal with such cases.
“The collaboration of Iranian actors and documentary makers with satellite networks is conditional on obtaining relevant permits from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance,” ISNA quoted him as saying.
He added that Iranian filmmakers and actors can only work with satellite networks if they are not pursuing goals against the Islamic establishment of Iran.
On September 20, Iran's Intelligence Ministry arrested members of an illegal network charged with feeding the UK information under the guise of working for the state-run BBC.
According to an Iranian Intelligence Ministry statement, the members of the network provided the BBC with propaganda subjects to be exploited in psychological warfare by the enemies of Iran and Islam.
The statement added that the members of the network, some of whom have been arrested, carried out anti-Iran missions commissioned by the BBC through illegal underground activities in return for massive sums of money.
