On the occasion of martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), a photo exhibition on “Muharram and Karbala” has been held at Lalit Cala Academy in Lucknow district of Uttar Pradesh State, India.
The exhibition was opened from December 1 with the presence of Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Kalb Javad Naqavi, Friday prayers leader of the city and Abul Irfan Farangi Mahalli, Imam of Sunni Muslims and Mufti of the city.
Photographers from Delhi, Rai Bareilly, Aligarh, Shah Jahanpur, Halur, Zaidpur, Nasirabad and Lucknow have presented their pictorial artworks about Muharram month and Karbala incident.
Addressing the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Kalb Javad Naqavi said the exhibition aims to make the visitors familiar with history and culture of Karbala and Muharram and introduce the culture to the followers of other religions.
The exhibition hosts visitors until December 4 from 3 to 9 pm. local time.
