Imam Khomeini (RA) Saved Palestine Issue from Being Forgotten

A Palestinian prisoner released from a Zionist regime’s prison said Imam Khomeini (RA) saved the issue of Palestine from being forgotten.

Ataullah Abu al-Sabeh, Palestinian Minister for Prisons, also said the Islamic Revolution of Iran which was led to victory by Imam Khomeini (RA) was the savior of Palestine and the Palestinian nation.

“At a time when many treacherous Arab rulers had forgotten about the issue of Palestine, the Islamic Revolution of Iran again brought it to world attention,” he said in a speech at Imam Khomeini (RA) International University in Qazvin, (about 150km west of Tehran).

He said dictatorial regimes in the Arab world, including those of Ben Ali, Hosni Mubarak, and Ghaddafi betrayed the Palestinian nation. “The Mubarak regime only served Israel for three decades and refused to help the Palestinians. Ben Ali gave a green light to Israeli spies to track Palestinians and Muammar Ghaddafi banished Palestinian refugees to the Sahara desert.”

He thanked Iran’s Supreme Leader, government and nation for their support for Palestinians.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Ataullah Abu al-Sabeh referred to the countless crimes of the Zionist regime and said the regime has sent millions of Palestinians in exile and killed many.

He stressed that despite this, Palestinian men, women and youths would continue their struggle to liberate Quds.

Fuad Al-Razam, a Palestinian who had been in Zionist prisons for 31 years, also spoke at the gathering of Imam Khomeini (RA) International University students, saying that the Islamic movement of the Palestinian people was inspired by the movement of Imam Khomeini (RA) and would continue until victory.
