--Dating back to the 4th century Hijri, "Qods Quran" has been exhibited as the oldest Persian-Dari translation of the Quran in 3 volumes at the 17th International Quran Exhibition in Tehran. According to IQNA, the library of Astaneh Qods Razavi has presented a number of precious handwritten copies of the Quran in the 17th International Quran Exhibition.
The most outstanding copies of the Holy Book showcased, are a Quranic manuscript in Imam Hossein's (AS) handwriting, a copy of the Quran written in 1st century hijri, attributed to Imam Ali (AS) in Koofi script and other ones attributed to Imam Hassan (AS), Imam Sajjad (AS), and Imam Reza (AS).
Another example is a Quran of the 3rd century on deer skin, which was donated by Shah Abbas.
Unveiled at the 22nd Tehran Int'l Book Fair, the printed copy of Alireza Abbasi's Quran is being presented at the exhibition while the original copy is being kept in the library.
Other works include the first Iranian calligraphic Quran in Seyyed Hossein Mirkhani's handwriting as well as a scroll Quran, 5 meters and 74 centimeters long written in the 13th century Turkey which is now being presented for the first time after donation.
A 70 year-old Quran, published in Turkey is another one which is special for being small in size and arranging each section of Quran in 2 pages. there is also a place in the cover designed for putting lens to recite Quran. |
