People Mourn Imam Ali (AS) Martyrdom Anniversary in Iran & Iraq

Hundreds of thousands of pilgrims in the holy city of Najaf, commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of the first Infallible Imam of the Prophet of Islam Mohammad (Peace be upon him and his progeny) Household, Imam Ali (AS) in the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (AS). According to IRIB Correspondent, concurrent with the mourning ceremonies, marking the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (AS) in different parts of the world, hundreds of thousands of pilgrims in the holy city of Najaf marked this martyrdom anniversary by reciting the holy Koran, and making prayers.
These mourning ceremonies were held in the holy city of Najaf, while a high Iraqi police official noted that based on security services' reports, no insecurity has been observed in this holy city.
Moreover, millions of people in Islamic Iran also commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (AS) and the Night of Qadr all over the country by praying to Almighty and reciting the holy Koran.
