Ayatollah Jannati: Tehran not to show green light to Americans out of humiliation

Substitute Friday prayers leader of Tehran Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati says Tehran would not show green light to the US out of humiliation. “We can not show green light to the US out of humiliation as they (Americans) wish considering the fact that they have been for times hostile towards us,” Ayatollah Jannati said in his second Friday prayers sermon to large groups of Tehrani worshippers. He hailed high public turnout in the November 4th anti-US rallies and said a number of people wrongly suppose that they can by hues and cries dissuade people from the path of the late Imam Khomeini and of the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei but to no avail. He referred to a dlrs 55 million budget the US congress has passed to undermine Iran’s Islamic Republic establishment and said, “This means war with God and war with people because this system (the Islamic Republic system) is a popular and divine system.” Addressing himself to the US, enemies, the deceived individuals and conspirators, Ayatollah Jannati warned, “The more you continue following the path of conspiracy, the closer the public’s ranks will become.
