Ahlul Bayt News Agency -ABNA- The third part of the 8th International Congress of Muslim Medics has started in Qom on Thursday with the speaking of Ayatollah "Alireza Arafi".
The head of the Al-Mustafa International University with emphasizing on the accuracy in the use of narratives of Ahlul Bayts (AS) said: "We must to look at the Islamic medical sources by jurisprudential view; it means we should not ignore what is happening in today's medical science."
"It is a must for Muslim medics to look at our Islamic medical sources and also use them beside their scientific methods. But we need to be care of using these sources because there are some narrations which we cannot trust," he also added.
Qom Friday prayer leader also described Muslim medics as somebodies who have mental and physical health of the people in their hands and said: "Shia jurisprudence is a dynamic jurisprudence in the field of medicine and is responsive to the many new issues."
"Today we face with important issues in medicine, like infertility and sex reassignment surgery, which we must find moral and jurisprudential responses for them, and in this case we should be aware of not involving in any fanaticism," He added.
The 8th International Congress of Muslim Medics opened on July 30th in Mashhad and will run till August 10th.
In this congress 300 Shiite doctors from around the world participated in the scientific meetings, workshops, pilgrimage and cultural programs.
