Ahlul Bayt News Agency –ABNA- Following terrorist attacks on Saudi Shiite mourners in 'Hussainiyah of Heidaryieh' and 'Mosque of al-Hamzeh' in the cities of Saihat and Dammam which claimed lives of some people, the Ahlul Bayt World Assembly released an important statement.
The full text of the statement is as follows:
In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Once again Imam Hussein mourning ceremonies came under attack from the Yazidis of this age.
Notorious Takfiri Wahhabis last night attacked tow worship places in the cities of Saihat and Dammam and martyred some of Imam Hussein (AS) mourners.
Ahlul Bayt World Assembly seriously condemns this terrorist acts and sends its condolence to the family of victims and also draws the attention of Shia mourners to the following points:
1- Imam Hussein mourning ceremonies has always been reviver of Islamic teachings among Muslim communities, as Imam Khomeini (RA) said: "This is Muharram and Safar which keep Islam alive." Because of that our enemies have been always angry of organizing such ceremonies and have tries to stop us.
2- We must be aware and don't let these terrorist acts scare us into not participating in the ceremonies; so we must take our steps more stranger than before, as last night mourners in Saihat shouted 'Labaik Ya Hussein' and 'Hay Haat Minaz Zillah' after the attack.
3- The most important thing here is the issue of protecting mourners. Repeating these bloody events shows that some regional governments not to want or cannot protect the lives of Ahlul Bayt (AS) followers in their events. Therefore it is necessary for the custodians, managers and trustees of mosques and Hussainiyahs to protect the ceremonies by their efforts.
4- Also preachers and religious singersmust make people aware about what is going on behind the Wahhabi movements and prevent the spread of violent extremism or schism between people from happening.
