-- Concurrent with Eid-ul-Adha, a new Mosque opened yesterday, November 28, in Agha Mamdali region of Marneuli province, Georgia, with the presence of Iranian ambassador to the country.
The opening ceremony was also attended by Iran cultural attaché, embassy officials of Republic of Azerbaijan and Turkey, head of Muslims Religious Office, representative of International Center of Propagation, a number of seminary students and people of the region.
Mojtaba Damirchi, the Iranian ambassador, congratulated all Muslims on the auspicious occasion. He also appreciated the efforts of those who contributed to the construction of the mosque. Damirchi gifted an Iranian carpet to the mosque.
Named after Imam Reza (AS), the mosque is considered a religious-cultural center for Muslims of the region.
With its beautiful view and architecture, the mosque has been constructed in a big plot of land by the region’s Muslims. It includes various parts such as a meeting hall, library and classrooms.
