Students from Al-Hadi School, a Shia Muslim majority school based in Houston, Texas, won a rather prestigious award this February as it was presented with 1st place for the Science and Engineering Fair at the University of Houston.
The school also won second place out of 25 teams participating in 9th grade division.
Several other awards in other subjects were also presented to the school in recognition of its academic excellence and overall achievements in the field of education. Children were given gift cards and other prizes as rewards.
