The Grand Ayatollah Shobairi Zanjani answered a question about ruling for Salaat and fasting when stopping journey after about 25 kilometers.

Question: If a passenger stops the journey after about 25 kilometers and does not want to continue, and stays in that place for 10 days or returns home, what is the ruling about Salaat and fasting in that place or in the middle of the way?

The Grand Ayatollah Shobairi: In the first condition, perform full Salaat and fasting is correct. But in the second condition the person is a passenger and Salaat is broken (Qasr) and the fasting is not correct.
