Imam Khamenei: Dignity, power, excellence achievable via Quran

On the occasion of holy month of Ramadan, international Quran reciters and memorizers gathered in a recitation ceremony in presence of Imam Khamenei.

During the ceremony which lasted for more than three hours, eight Quran memorizers, reciters and masters from across the country recited verses of Quran and nasheeds, religious poems and songs praising God.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution at the end of the meeting addressed the gathering where he commemorated Quran reciters who were martyred in Mina tragedy during Hajj season last year; “This year, we are sorrowful of loss of reciters martyred in Mina incident. May God exalt their position and accept their unfinished Hajj pilgrimage to the best possible way.”

Ayatollah Khamenei further highlighted the miracle of beauty of Quran’s wordings which he deemed as a window to excellent meanings of it; “beauty of Quran wins hearts of mankind. While the wording of Quran is beautiful, teachings of Quran are thousands of times more beautiful.”

“Today world needs Quran; today world suffers spiritual and intellectual emptiness. That you see murder and crime rates in western world are rising increasingly is due to this reason. If only a dim of shining light of Quran is sent to them with proper expression for today understanding, hearts will be absorbed and it will set the ground for true progress of mankind as dignity, power, wealth, spiritual excellence, intellectual and belief extension, as well as happiness and peace of mind rely upon implementing teachings of Holy Quran.”

Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that belief structures needed to be reinforced and proper language must be applied in order to convey message and teachings of Quran to the people all around the world. “If these concepts are transferred to the world, Quran will be a mighty power towards which superpowers and Zionist regime can do no damn thing.”

He also stressed on expansion of ceremonies for reciting, memorizing or contemplating upon Quran to increase more closeness to Holy Quran among the public. “Just like mourning processions commemorating martyrdom of Infallible Imams or demise of prophet and his household, Quran recitation and listening events must be spread all around the country so that Quran concepts can be spread as fast as possible.;” he said and continued that “a blessing of more acquaintance with Quran is spiritual peace of mind which paves the ground for improvement of human being’s faith in God Almighty and Divine Power.”
