Hujjat al-Islam Qaraati: Disappointment, sign of weakness of faith

Hujjat al-Islam Qaraati: Disappointment, sign of weakness of faith

Chief of the Country's prayer headquarter said, “Being disappointed means having suspicion to God and this means that God is not able to do anything.”
In the holy month of Ramadan's lecture series at the Razavi Holy Shrine, Hujjat al-Islam Mohsen Qaraati said, “When mankind believes that no way is left, he thinks that suicide will make him calm. This kind of thinking is very dangerous, however.”

Qur'an commentator said, “In the holy Qur'an, God says: ‘and whoso has done an atom's weight of good shall see it’. It means that good job and its impacts will not be vanished at all.”
Saying that Allah will accept people's repentance and Islam has no deadlock, he added, “Disappointment is like a flame that burns all the good deeds. Humans have to live somewhere between fear and hope.”

Hujjat al-Islam Qaraati stated, “Disappointment reveals a kind of suspicion to Allah. Having suspicion means that even Allah is not able to do something. In other words, Qur'an categorizes sins into two categories of major sins and lesser sins and being disappointed about Allah's ability is the first major sin introduced by this holy book.”
He reminded, “Advent of Imam Mahdi (A.S.) is one of the clues based on which the man should not become disappointed because there is a belief according to which Hazrat Mahdi's (A.S.) occultation will be finished someday.”

The chief of the country's prayer headquarter said that the main purpose of praying is that humans do not become disappointed in their activities. He also said, “Qur'an, for example, has called the story of Hazrat Joseph (A.S.) the best story. The reason behind this naming is that Hazrat Joseph's (A.S.) story has got both positive and negative points but he did not become disappointed.”
“Reciting holy Qur'an is very much recommended since when the human thinks about Quranic stories and observes easiness after each hardship he will not become disappointed anymore”, Hujjat al-Islam Qaraati said.
He reminded, “Everybody has his own grief in the world and those who seem to be happy have also some sorrows. God will help us as long as we help others as this is God's promise.”
The chief of the country's prayer headquarter referred to some strategies to become closer to Allah in the Night of the Divine Decree and said, “First, if you want Allah to forgive you on Qadr nights, you have to forgive people first. Second, on Qadr nights, pay attention to prayers a lot since whoever considers prayer as unimportant will not be interceded, according to purified Imams' (A.S.) statements.”
Hujjat al-Islam Qaraati clarified, “If you want your desires to be fulfilled on Qadr night, your food must be lawful and the last point on Qadr nights is that pray for yourself after praying for others if you want Allah to fulfill your desires.”
