Seminar on Humans and the World to be Held in France

-- A seminar on “Humans and the World; Contrary Views of Science and Religion” will be held on December 4 in St Genis Laval, France as a venue for holding dialogue between religious intellectuals and scholars of experimental sciences.

According to umma-united website, the seminar is organized by Islamic, Christian and Jewish Associations of the city of Leone. It will be attended by Izzuddin Ghasi, head of Regional Council of Rhône-Alpes Muslims, Cardinal Barbarin, archbishop of Leone, Inès Safi, a researcher and physicist and Gill Adam, astronomer and writer, as well as other scientific and religious figures.

Investigation of the role of science and religion in changing human world-views, the influence of the world on science and religion, and stance of religion toward scientific facts and human discoveries are among the themes of the event.
