The second edition of “Imam Baqir (A)” cultural festival was organized on July 14 and 15 at the holy shrine of Hazrat Abbas (A) in Karbala, Iraq.
According to Al-Kafeel website, the program included various Quranic sessions.
During the festival, the projects implemented by the Astan (custodianship) of the holy shrine were also introduced.
“Imam Hassan (A)” hall of the holy shrine hosted an educational workshop on “Media and Extremism” and research sessions of the festival.
Barir Muhammad Reza, Leith Rahim and Seyyed Heidar Jelokhan were the Qaris who recited some verses of the Quran on the first day of the program.
The closing ceremony of the festival was held at “Imam Hussein (A)” hall of the holy shrine on July 15.
Top papers on the character of Imam Baqir (A) were awarded at the ceremony.
The two-day festival was held by the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Section of Hazrat Abbas (A) holy shrine’s Astan.
