Piety is the basis of all Divine Positions

Allah (SWT) has ascribed all Divine Positions to pious servants of God. For example in Ayah 51 of Surah Dukhan, Allah (SWT) said: “Truly the pious are in a position of security.” Also in Ayahs 54 and 55 of Surah Al-Qamar, Allah (SWT) said: “The pious will be in the midst of gardens and rivers.” In these Ayahs, the emphasis is on spiritual paradise and this is different from the physical paradise which is mentioned in other holy verses of the Quran such as Ayahs 52 to 55 of Surah Dukhan and Ayahs 2 and 3 of Surah Al-Baqarah and similar verses. The person who worships God in a loving way rather than fear, will get to this level [1].
