Zaria Massacres: Like Jonathan's Pilgrimage, like Buhari's Umrah

- "O you who believe! stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for Allah can best protect both. Follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you swerve, and if you distort (justice) or decline to do justice, verily

- "O you who believe! stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for Allah can best protect both. Follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you swerve, and if you distort (justice) or decline to do justice, verily Allah is well- acquainted with all that you do" - Qur'an 4:135

After the Zaria killings that left 34 killed, including 3 biological sons of Shaikh Zakzaky and 104 injured which occured on 25th July, 2014 when the Nigerian army attacked members of the Islamic movement during a peaceful pro-palestinian procession, in October the then President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan jetted to Jerusalem for pilgrimage. The aspiration of that pilgrimage is to seek for forgiveness over the bloodbath in Zaria which he responded to with a loud silence.

The present Nigeria's President has just repeated that. Over 700+ are still missing, with hundreds still recuperating from their injuries of gunshots and burns in the aftermath of the Zaria pogrom but President Buhari unashamedly flied to some holy places in Saudi Arabia as part of what he called a lesser pilgrimage (Umrah).

The President's aspiration doesn't differs from that of his predecessor. After unjustified killings, they move to the holy cities in order to sanctify themselves by beseeching for remission.

Last August, the President cancelled the federal government delegation in what he describe as cut costs of government, which he said by doing that FG has saved $1 million. As of now, the President and his entourage are in Saudi Arabia enjoying with the hard-earned money of taxpayers. Nigeria's need explanation on how much was spent or he's still spending in Saudi-Arabia.

I am admonishing the tyrant Nigerian President, Muhammad Buhari to withdraw from Saudi Arabia for he is wasting his time, as we have read from many Islamic traditions “Allah is not merciful to he who is not merciful to people “.
