In occupied Kashmir, senior Shiite cleric and leader of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, has strongly denounced the continued house arrest of the APHC Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, and illegal detention of the APHC General Secretary, Shabbir Ahmed Shah.
Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi in a statement issued in Srinagar termed imposition of ban on the political activities of the Hurriyet leaders as frustration of the puppet authorities.
He denounced the killing of a civilian, Sajjad Ahmed Malik, by Indian troops in a fake encounter in Dooru area of Islamabad describing it the worst example of state terrorism. He said that arrests, detentions, killings and other brutal tactics by India could not suppress the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue their ongoing freedom movement.
He also called upon Pakistan and India to resume the dialogue process to settle their all outstanding issues including the Kashmir dispute.
Meanwhile, the APHC leader, Zamruda Habib, in a statement issued in Srinagar on the occasion of International Day of disabled persons said that thousands of innocent Kashmiris had been rendered disabled due to continue Indian state terrorism in the occupied territory.
She said that hundreds of youth had lost their eyesight due to the firing of pallets and other lethal weapons by Indian forces on peaceful protesters during the ongoing mass uprising.
