The way of touching a patient who is not the same gender as the nurse/the Grand Ayatollah Khamenei’s answer

The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei answered a question about touching patients who are not the same gender as the nurses.

Question: If for a nurse who is not the same gender at the time of checking patient’s blood pressure, and other things which require touching the body of the patient, is possible to wear gloves; is it allowed to do these acts without wearing medical gloves?

The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei: With the possibility of touching over the clothing or by wearing gloves at the time of treatment, there is no need the body of the patient who is not the same gender be touched, and therefore it is not allowed
