First English Ph.D. dissertation on Shia jurisprudence defended in Qom seminary

The doctoral dissertation defense was held at the International Institute for Islamic Studies in the city of Qom, Iran.

This dissertation study on Shia jurisprudence was done by Hujjat al-Islam Yahya Jahangiri, an international Muslim missionary who was a Ph.D. candidate in the field of Islamic Studies.

His study consists of 196 pages and is considered as the first ever English dissertation carried out in the area of  Shia jurisprudence.
