Statement of ABWA on heinous genocide, abduction in Afghanistan

Read the statement as follows:

In the Name of Almighty God, the Demolisher of Tyrants

Two painful incidents occurred in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan with a five-day interval, leaving a stain of shame on the forehead of perpetrators.

On August 1st, two suicide bombers attacked worshipers in the Shiite mosque “Javadia” in the southern city of Herat, first shooting at the worshipers and then detonating themselves inside the mosque. The terrorist attack left at least 29 martyrs and 64 wounded.

Then on August 4th and 5th, Takfirist groups arranged heavy attacks on the Mirza Valang district in the province of Sar-e Pol, Afghanistan, which claimed 60 martyrs from among innocent Shiite Muslims and resulted in kidnapping 47 young women.

The two incidents followed a series of crimes targeting defenseless citizens in different parts of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq and Syria.

Obviously, we cannot hope for international institutions and human rights organizations to confront these criminals as they are taking their policies and orders from superpowers who are equipping the terrorists with weapons and armaments to attack civilians.

Therefore, we would like to address Muslim grand clerics, Ulama, intellectuals, political parties and the government of Afghanistan, who are addressees of this noble Islamic hadith: “Any Mo’min (believer) who refuses to help his brothers - while he has the power and ability to do so - Almighty God will stop helping him in this world and in the hereafter”.

Jihad (holy defense) against one of the two superpowers of the time by brave Afghan people and a round-the-clock fight against Taliban mercenaries proves that if  “Muslim clerics”, “popular personalities” and “Jihadist movements” of Afghanistan will, they can surely overcome infidel terrorists who disturb the tranquility and prosperity of this oppressed state; the same process through which Iraq succeeded to destroy the bloodthirsty terrorists, who had occupied half the country's territory, with the leadership of Grand Ayatollah Sistani and self-sacrifice of its young combatants.

While extending its condolences to the family members of martyrs in Herat and Mirza Valang, the Ahlulbayt World Assembly urges all those who are able to take effective measures for eradicating the roots of terrorism in Islamic lands to do something before it would be too late.

And the wrongdoers will soon know at what final place will end up.
