The modesty of Imam Hussein (Peace be upon him) and the meekness of that divine human was as follows: one day he was passing by a group of poor people, and they had put pieces of bread on the ground and were eating them, when they saw Imam Hussein (Peace be upon him), they said: on son of the messenger of Allah, come and eat food with us, Imam Hussein (Peace be upon him) came down his roadster with hurry and said: Allah doesn’t like the arrogant people and then start eating food with them. After that, Imam Hussein (Peace be upon him) invited them all to his house and besides treating them with food, provided them all with clothes.
