In a strange narration, we read: A man came to Imam Ali (peace be upon him), while he was with his companions, the man saluted to Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and then said: "I swear by Allah I love you." Imam said: you are lying. The man said: I swear to Allah, I love you and repeat his sentence three times. Imam Ali (peace be upon him) said: "You have been lying, you are not who you say you are, because Allah created the spirits two thousand years before the bodies, then Allah has presented to us those who love us, I swear by Allah your soul was not among those who were presented to us, I did not see yours. The man kept silent and said nothing more!
