The punishment that Allah Almighty considers for the people is due to their stinginess. The reason why Allah Almighty questions and reprimands the human is because they have not abandoned their properties and belongings- of course this questioning of Allah is not for the remaining of the properties for the human. Suppose a person dies and left a huge sums of money behind, this event has no harm or damage to the lord of the universe. Therefore, the punishment is not for not giving and donating one's properties and assets, but it is for the trait of being stingy that the servant disobeys the command of Allah Almighty by having that moral vice. The existence of this moral vice in one's heart can create a massive distance between the person the good things and the punishment of Almighty Allah is also for this moral vice.
