-- A list of Quran copies and manuscripts available at the library of late Ayatollah Golpaygani has been prepared by Al-Javad Research Institute and Library of Islamic Consultative Assembly.
It was compiled under the supervision of Hojat-ol-Islam Mostafa Derayati, head of the institute.
According to Hojat-ol-Islam Derayati, the library of the late source of emulation is one of the most important centers in Iran in which unique Islamic manuscripts are kept. 382 of the manuscripts are the original copies.
Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Sadrayi Khoyi and Hojat-ol-Islam Abul Fadhl Hafeziyan have compiled the list in 9 volumes, including 8 catalogues and 1 appendix.
Noting that it has been compiled alphabetically not thematically, Hojat-ol-Islam Derayati said, “including all Quran copies as well as books in Arabic, Persian and English, the collection involves 15 thousands and 672 entries introducing both the copies in the library and those borrowed.”
He expressed hope that the catalogue would be published by the end of this (Iranian) year (March 21).
